Access to a Dream
Eisenhower Dance Ensemble's "Motown in Motion" last week was a blast! How amazing it was to be backstage at the Detroit Opera House, working with the talented performers. It is so exciting to be a part of something that is bigger than myself. To be able to work with performers at the peak of their craft and enjoying every minute of it is a dream come true. EDE provides the access to my dreams.

What Became a Legend Most: Vogue Looks Back at Elizabeth Taylor’s Iconic Style - Vogue Daily - Vogue
I heard a funny line the other day, someone referring to their deceased grandfather - "Heaven will have to issue it's first restraining order."
I LOVE Liz Tayler, her iconic style and fashion legend has graced the pages and covers of Vogue for many decades. As an actress in her early roles in "National Velvet" at age 12 to "Cleopatra", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "Butterfield 8" in her heyday and then later cameos in films like "The Flintstones" Elizabeth Taylor will always take my breath away.

I am inspired by others who inspire!
Laurie Eisenhower, of Eisenhower Dance Ensemble inspires all those around her with her commitment and dedication to the arts. As Eisenhower Dance Ensemble prepares to celebrate twenty years of commitment and service to the community, I applaud Laurie's many charitable efforts and the role EDE plays in utilizing ballet as an educational tool.

Changez Salon does the 'dos for Motown in Motion
Changez Salon has long supported the arts in Metro Detroit. When Laurie Eisenhower approached us to donate our services for the upcoming Eisenhower Dance Ensemble’s performance of “Motown in Motion” – the answer was an immediate yes. On March 20th at the Detroit Opera House, the Motor City's premier dance company, celebrates the iconic Detroit sound with an evening of dance and Motown music. I will be there with my partner Stephen, manager Patrick and our team of talented stylists doing hair for the entire dance company.
Eisenhower Dance Ensemble’s collaboration with Changez Salon has been an ongoing partnership. Laurie Eisenhower says, “Changez Salon has stepped up as major supporters of EDE. With their support, we have been able to appear at special events, produce a video that has already raised close to $1,500, and get the word out on how small businesses can support the arts in Metro Detroit.”
Stephen and I have co-owned Changez Salon for over 4 years and enjoy the chance to give back to the community whenever possible. Our goal is to help promote community outreach and education programs for artists of all ages. Known as “The Salon with a Big Heart”, Changez Salon regularly donates time and talents to Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings and are also dedicated to promoting Breast Cancer awareness.
I would highly recommend the performance, tickets can be purchased by going to www.ede-dance.org
See you in Motown!
